KUCHING: Sarawak continues to drive the people through the Rural Transformation Project (RTP), focusing on economic, social and infrastructure improvement.
According to Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni in a statement, it is Sarawak's dedication to comprehensive development.
"This is evident through strategic investments in key sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare and agricultural support.
"The government intends to create sustainable and inclusive growth, ensuring active participation and benefits for rural communities in the overall progress of the region," he said.
Dr Hazland who is also a Member of the Demak Laut State Legislative Assembly also witnessed the handing over of the multi-purpose hall project in Kampung Bako Tengah.
The successful completion of the multi-purpose hall construction project in Kampung Bako Tengah also marks a success in RTP in the Demak Laut area, especially the Bako zone.
The multi-purpose hall provides an opportunity for residents around Kampung Bako to maximize its use, organizing activities such as courses and sports such as badminton and table tennis.
"This infrastructure is set to improve the quality of human capital by encouraging healthy activities and fostering community involvement.
"The various events and programs envisioned for the hall aim to enrich the lives of local residents and contribute to the overall well-being of the community," he added.
The completion of the project was officially handed over by the Public Works Department (JKR) to the Head of Kampung Bako Janibah Hazmi.
The construction of Kampung Bako Tengah multi-purpose hall worth RM500,000 has started in 2021 and will be completed in 2023.
Also present at the ceremony were members of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Bako Tengah.
